Stamps Depicting the High Jump

July 12, 2001 I've added a new script to the advanced section of Javascript Workbench, called Formchex. This generic form validation script is a practice exercise carried out so that I have the results available for future reference.

The script makes use of advanced string operators like charAt(), indexOf(), split(), replace(), match() and javascript regular expressions. Fun new stuff for me to learn and practice!

July 8, 2001 I've just added a new page of stamps to my sub-website Stamps depicting the High Jump. Enjoy!

July 1, 2001 Today is the aniversary of my Dad's death in 1997. He worked for IBM for 33 years, fixing hardware in the 60s and debugging software in the 70s and 80s. He introduced me to computers back when they were room-sized. We had home computers as soon as they were available, way ahead of the curve. Thanks, Dad!

June 10, 2001 I'm re-coding my scripts in Javascript Workbench so that they are compatible with IE5's and Netscape 6's Document Object Model. Only four more to go! Thank goodness for some great articles at scottandrew.com.

May 27, 2001 I've added two new scripts to the Advanced section of Javascript Workbench, called Swarm 1 & 2. These two scripts simulate the behavior of a swarm of gnats. It's just a toy, made for fun, not science. Play and enjoy!

Frame Buster!
               Frame Buster!

May 20, 2001 I've added a new script to the Basics section of Javascript Workbench, called The Frame Buster. It prevents your webpage from being captured by someone else's frames. Cool demo included!

May 20, 2001 I've added scripts to the Advanced section of Javascript Workbench, four versions of Allen's Cursor Orbiter This is my contribution to the "Cursor Trailer" genre. Enjoy!

May 19, 2001 I've added a new utility, the Font Size Viewer to the Internet Help files. This beginner's CSS exercise displays the most common serif and sans-serif fonts in multiple point sizes. A side-by-side comparison.

May 6, 2001 I have started a whole new website subsection, called Stamps Depicting the High Jump. This is the first of several sites I hope to base on content from my stamp collection.
