June 22, 2002: Brad and Karen get married!

 June 22, 2002 Brad Whitehurst and I have been friends for over thirty years. He was married June 22 to Karen Guest. I took lots of Wedding Pictures. Enjoy!

 May 25, 2002 I had so much fun making the Online Eye Test (see below), that I have created a follow-up: The Online Reaction Time Test. Test your time-to-click-after-stimulus directly in your web browser, with the help of this new Intermediate script in Javascript Workbench.

 May 24, 2002 In addition to my bifocals, I own a special pair of computer glasses. To help optimize my computer glasses, my eye doctor agreed to test me on an online eye test of my own design. You can try it, too: The Online Eye Test. Making an online eye test raises lots of issues about how computer screens and browsers display content, and some of these are discussed, too.

 May 18, 2002 I have added a new group of scripts to Javascript Workbench, called BackSlide. The basic idea is to move large layers around the screen, carrying images with transparent sections, so the layers can be seen moving behind one another.

Unfortunately, moving large layers around on the screen is slower and jerkier than I had envisioned, at least on my computer. Oh well, not everything works as planned! Maybe when I get a new, faster computer... !

 May 12, 2002 I have added a large new website subsection called My Woodworking Projects, which shows off eight of my woodworking projects. Hope you like it!

 May 4, 2002 I have completely rewritten the javascript of my Photo-Essay System, making it simpler and more crossbrowser compatible. See the photoessays:

 April 12, 2002 I've been moved to a new cubicle, so I had to update the My Cubicle page. My new cubicle doesn't have the same beautiful views as my previous cubicle - I now have no windows at all.
