My Woodworking Projects

I have always enjoyed working in the woodshop. I love the smell of fresh sawdust!

Here are some of my woodworking projects. Click on the titles to see more. Enjoy!

1. Front Porch and Stair Rails

I replaced our old, rusted stair rails with wooden rails. I added a small wooden porch, with room for Mom's rocking chair.

6. The Bipolar Table

I built a small table with faces on the centerpost, representing personality opposites like angry/calm and manic/depressive.

2. Ashley's Puzzle Horse

Like many young girls, Ashley wanted a horse. We couldn't keep a real horse, so I built her this wooden one.

7. Bandsaw Boxes

A simple, fun afternoon woodworking project!

3. The Clubhouse

I built a clubhouse for my two nieces and nephew. When they get older, it can be converted into a gardening shed or Mom's greenhouse.

8. The Shelving Board Master

I have built so many bookcases and other furniture out of 5/8" x 12" pine that I must be considered a Shelving Board Master.

4. Trellises

I have built several of these simple trellises. I love their lines and shadows against the brick.

9. Humble Footbridge

I built a little footbridge so Mom can get over the ditch to get the mail.

5. Cat Slices

A portrait in shelving board of our cat, Blackie. This project is still in progress.

10. Crude Fence

I built a rudimentary fence using primitive methods. The fence will serve as the framework for a hedgerow.

My Workshop

When my dad died, I inherited his garage workspace. Adding my own tools to his created a fine home woodworking shop.
