My Workshop

When I was growing up, Dad always had a workshop in our basement garage. He taught me how to use his tools as we built and repaired things around the house.

Since Dad died and I've been living at home, the basement workshop has become my workshop. He taught me the satisfaction that working with wood brings.

My Woodworking Projects Index

Above left: My workshop. Dad built the long workbench.

Above right: I always wanted to have the pegboard "tool lineup" on the wall!

Right: I built this toolchest to hold all the tools that are not hanging on the wall. It is made entirely from scrap.

Below right and left: Reciprocating jigsaw and Combination sander (belt and disk). These are two of my favorite workbench tools!

Bottom left: Dad's Craftsman 10 inch Radial arm saw. He taught me to use this tool and not be afraid of it (yet still respect it!) when I was a teen.

Bottom right: The other side of the workroom, with the drill press, Grandaddy's vise, wood storage (shelving pine!), and projects in progress.
